A Witchy Swap!

Hey Y'all how are ya today?
Waiting for the first frost of fall here!
It feels like it will never arrive!
That morning the first frosty morning is my Cream Of Wheat morning, it is a silly little tradition I have,
just for me as Lee hates Cream of Wheat...ha ha ha.
I am a seasonal eater too, so hot cereal is not a Summer food for me.
Do you eat seasonally too?

I was so excited that I  was able to participate in Vivian's  Witchy Hat Swap.
It was such fun trying to decide what to do...Do I alter a fabric hat?  Do I send just a tiny hat and lots of goodies? Do I paint or paper a paper mache hat??? Decisions!
In the end I decided to send to Lynn at Life on the Wienee Ranch a painted paper mache hat that I embellished the devil out of...teehee.
I also included a big ole bunch of goodies, which I neglected to photograph :( oh well, hopefull you will see it on Lynn's blog!
Here is how my hat turned out

It was such a fun swap!
Thanks Viv for hosting it!

  6. Oh Jenny! Your hat is fabulous! I so wish I had seen a few of these hats before I made my very boring one. I had no idea all the things that could be done with them. I just sat and stared at mine. Beautiful! Lynn will love this hat. Hope you have a lovely weekend. Elizabeth

  7. Ethel,
That hat is amazing!!!!! I love it!!!! You are so good. I'm keeping my eyes open for one of those. Thanks for visiting and the nice comment you left. I have to tell you, after several people telling me to look elsewhere for that cookie jar, I did find the same one on sale for like 56 dollars. By the time I get some money it will probably be gone, but so far that's not a bad price. Not sure what the shipping would be. Tell Fred he was right about looking for a better price, but then, what else would you expect from Fred?
So happy you did such a great job on your swap, you rock Miss Ethel. Love ya, Lucy
