Hey Y'all How are ya today? It is cold,grey and raining here in Virginia today and I love it. If you don't know I love grey days, they are calming to me and I am thankful for days like this. OK as a result of it POURING DOWN RAIN at 7:30 this morning (when I was supposed to be walking out the door to go home) I wandered around the store and thought, I have been BLESSED beyond measure, and I am so thankful for all I have been given. I want to do something nice for my blog friends, so I have put together a small giveaway for you. So I was thinking as I was walking around, waiting for the rain to take a break;  what kind of giveaway would I like to receive? With the weather so chilly and my hands so dry I thought; one that would pamper me, this is what I came up with. The other day my mailbox was full of happy mail. I got a letter  from my dear friend Angela her blog is Down To the Darling Details  we actually write real letters back and forth.  I love her Faith and her kind heart. AND I got a package from my Lucy though you may know her as Julie at Ric Rac and Polka Dots  She sent me 2 of her knitted dish cloths.   Loads of happiness sent by friends I have met through my blog. Julies wonderful dish cloths and a sweet Mary E. card. I have been trying to teach myself  to knit. It is supposed to be so easy, yet I only make a mess of it! Grrr...one day I will get it. In the meantime I have Julies gift to get me through :) Thank You my dear friends, I love y'all bunches.

I ended my Vacation with hot wings and football! Yes I am a sports fan. Woo Hoo! And Now It's over :( Oh how I enjoyed my break. It was busy and relaxing all at the same time. Now I have to go back and  work 6 days in a row. Rotten retail job! Oh well, I got a couple things done and enjoyed myself. I am counting the days til my next break in February!

Hey Y'all, how are ya today? I am rested and relaxed!  We had a nice supper last night with my sister Laura and her husband Patrick, we got home around midnight and crashed. We had a good time with them.  This morning we have been as LAZY as we can be and we are both content! Oh I would have LOVED to have gone somewhere, anywhere, but there is a lot to be said for just relaxing and being calm. PHEW today has been a busy day! I started my day with a girlfriend of mine at breakfast, we ate and talked  for hours! It was so nice. We have only seen each other a couple of times in the last 20 years, but we just pick up where we leave off and it is never strained. Love her! Then I went to lunch with my sister Beth. Beth Went to Michael's and my local crafting store. Tonight we are going to my sister Laura's house to have dinner with them. Lot's of running but a good day. Oh how I love Vacation!

Not much at all going on here today, other than Rest and Relaxation. Thank You Lord!

AHHHH I am feeling better after a much needed day of doing NOTHING. It was so nice to sleep when I wanted, eat when I wanted and veg all day. Today I have to take the hubs to get an X-Ray of his shoulder and do a little shopping. He drives me nuts, but I love him. I hope y'all are having a great day.

Hey Y'all! I am so happy to have 6 days in a row to enjoy life! NO WORK FOR 6 WHOLE DAYS YAY! Today is day 1 of my vacation and today I am doing NOTHING. I might cook supper and write a couple of letters, but that will be it! :) No cleaning, no running all over, no laundry. Just me and my big ole booty in my chair watching trash on T.V. Ahhhh contentment. Oh I need to be doing a bunch but I am not gonna do it today. I need this day. Shelby, Layden and Colby. These Little's are my heart. They bring me such joy and I love them all SO MUCH!

                       Mt. Hood Image by Matt Roloff Next week I am taking the last of my vacation days for this year and I would love some input on how you spend your vacation time. We are  not going on a trip anywhere :(  so we are staying home and I have one project in mind already, one sister and her hubby are coming over for dinner one night and I am going to dinner and a movie with another sister, that leaves 3 full days . Oh how I would love to go to the beach or to Vegas or ANYWHERE!  Alas that is not in the budget. So what is your favorite way to spend a vacation day?

BUSTED! My Little Lamb Chop Layden is 9 months old already! He looks so much like his daddy it's uncanny. I love him to bits! Hanging out with daddy at the zoo. Spishin' and splashin' in the water with mommy. He is growing up so fast! So darn cute.

This week I want to share with you two amazing women I have the honor and privilege of knowing and loving. They are both survivors of Breast Cancer First up is Joy, we have known each other for years and years! We went to Jr. High and High School together. We also have the same birthday :) She is a teacher and comedian. She is a survivor and I love her to bits. Next is some one who I have known my entire life, she is my cousin Ruth Ann. She is one of the nicest, most kind women in my life. She is a teacher and a wonderful seamstress and loves Jimmy Buffet as much as I do (probably more...lol) she is a new Nana too! My cousin Jeremy (her son ) and his wife Sarah just had twins! Ruth Ann finished her radiation and chemo earlier this year. She is there when ever I need her and I love her so much, more than she will ever know. She is a survivor. I pray that they will both be cancer free for the rest of their lives and that they live long and happy. They are both Blessings to ...
