Happy Saturday Pink friends. I am thankful Beverly started this, even though I am new to, it I do so love it! Today I wanted to share a sweet gift my friend Peg made for me. I "met" her through a scrap booking message board. We clicked and have been friends for  years now. She is so crafty, and one of the nicest ladies you will ever get to know, you can visit her at Peg's Crafting Corner . She sent me this box that she painted and embellished, for Christmas a few years ago. It was filled with ribbons and bits to use in scrapping. It sits on my scrappy desk and every time I see it I smile. Thank You Peg. love you.

My Birthday! I am 38 today. My sister and I were born a week (and 6 years) apart, so we celebrated our birthdays last Saturday. Growing up we never combined our parties, we always had a friend party, most of the time it would be a sleepover, they were so much fun. Sometimes we had a friend party AND a separate family party; that was living large...teehee. My mom always made each one suited to each of us and special. Laura's fiance Patrick made our dinner and Mom made our cake. We decided to not do gifts for each other anymore, we had a lovely night and missed Jared, Amanda and Layden, and Steve they were unable to be with us, but we all understood. I hope that my 38th year will be a good year, I am trying to make it so. Thanks for sharing it with me.

My dad is my hero! He is a GREAT man of God I love him more than words could ever express. This is a picture of  "Papa and his pals" Layden on the left and Colby on the right. They were rootin' for the Steelers on Superbowl Sunday 2010. I am so thankful for all of them they are My Heart. This morning I just keep hearing in my head over and over "This is the day that the Lord has made, Let us rejoice and be glad in it." so I am gonna rejoice and be glad for a minute. I am glad that amidst all the chaos of our financial junk I still have a roof over my head. I am rejoicing and glad that Layden came home from the hospital and so far he has not stopped breathing again. I am glad that I have such an awesome family that always pulls together, we are a force to be reckoned with. I am glad that I get to celebrate another birthday this Thursday. My 38th. Thank you for your prayers! Layden came home today. We serve an awesome God.

Prayers are needed today for my family. I introduced them to you in a previous post. What I can say right now is please pray for our entire family for strength; and for Layden specifically pray for healing. much love on this Valentine's Day. Thank You I love you with all my heart Sport.

My niece Shelby is my pick for Pink Saturday Shelby is 4 and Pink is her favorite color and she cracks me up with the way she poses for pictures. She almost always has something pink on. We bought her the Minnie Mouse dress last year, anything that has polka-dots on it she calls Minnie Mouse. She loves to wear dresses, but she always wears leggings or pants with them, sometimes she will just wear tights, but that is rare; she has a very unique style that is all her own! She is my mini-me. I call her my Chickie-baby. My mom says it's like watching me grow up all over again. She really is a lot like me. (My poor sister) I love her so much! She is my heart.

I have been away so long already. Internet issues. How is it we pay a small fortune for broadband service, and it doesn't work! Gotta love technology. So have have y'all been? We are still trying to get by here. Tell me what is your favorite money saving tip? How do you save money at the grocery store? For me I think I can do a lot better. I have started making my own laundry soap and it works very well. I buy generic at the grocery and have found that a lot of store brand is just as good if not better than name brand. BUT have you noticed store brand is not much cheaper than name brand. Where do you save the most? xoxo Jenny
