We bonded so quickly.
We had so much fun. I went out all but 2 nights the whole month, dinners, movies, bowling, shopping, just having a great time.
LOVED IT!
I have so much to catch y'all up on but let me start off today with this.
Remember way back in February I told you about the Red Velvet Cupcake Murder by Joanne Fluke.
She used my recipe and name in her book. WELL while I was in Richmond she did her first East Coast book tour and one of her stops was March 19th (Lee's 50th Birthday too ) a mere 25 minutes from me!
Guess where me happy tail went that night...downtown Richmond to the Fountain Bookstore in
Shockoe Slip, where I got to meet Joanne. It was a wonderful night, and yes there were Red Velvet Cupcakes there too...lol
ME AND JO!
She is perfectly lovely!
See that book in front of her???
She autographed it just for one of you!
Would you like win this special copy?

  4. I've missed you and your posts Jenny!! I am glad you had a great time. A month training sounds like a long time, but it sounds like you guys had a blast.
I was able to meet the author of "A Killing in the Hills" a few months ago at my bookclub. It was an incredible experience- to get to talk to Julia Keller and ask her questions about her book and writing was amazing!!

  13. Hi Jenny~
What an exciting post...so many thins going on in your life! I'll have to go back in your posts to read what your training was for. I think it is really wonderful that your recipe was chosen for Jo's book. Last year my book group read The Carrot Cake Murders and it was great fun. I wrote a post about it. The Red Velvet Cupcake Murders sounds like a good read too. It was great that the timing worked out so you could meet her. Glad to see you back....I've been kind of sporadic, too.
    xoxo
