Hey Y'all! How are ya today? The weather is cooler...I am anxiously awaiting the first frost of fall! I think that is my favorite day of the year...well next to a snow day that is! I was fiddling around my blog, looking at the page views and out of nowhere this post had 6 views today, so I thought I would re-post it, I still feel it and believe it as much today as I did last year when I wrote it. As a matter of fact, reading it made me feel better. This post is from last November, I did a month of counting my blessings, this was day 2. Today I am thankful and blessed. I am thankful today that I am saved by grace. I love knowing Jesus as my savior. Image from google I love the knowledge that no matter what He is there for me. My dad told me once that when times are so tough, if you just imagine sitting with Jesus and talking to Him it will get better. I often picture in my minds eye sitting on the beach with Jesus on my right and my dad on my left and my husband behind me...

My thoughts and prayers are with all the families of those lost 11 years ago. While I know the greatest loss of life was in New York, we often forget that we lost a multitude of souls  here in Virginia and in a field in Pennsylvania, don't forget them and their families too. God Bless You All!

I am anxiously awaiting FALL!  This summer has been brutal on all of us and I am so ready for the crisp cool days of fall. Days free of humidity and full of cool breezes, long walks and cozy nights on the couch. image from google search Pumpkin Bread and Hot Chocolate. Apple Cider and Stews cooked in the Crock Pot Fresh Apples and a fire in the fire pit. (sigh) It can't get here fast enough for me! Time for a trip to Colonial Williamsburg image from google search It is such a wonderful place. We love to go there and just walk around. Sadly this is something I can't so with Lee anymore, he just can't walk that much. Lee and I would drive up for the day and just walk the cobblestone streets for hours holding hands, watching the blacksmith, admiring the architecture and the history of it all. Sometimes in the fall and sometimes for the Grand Illumination at Christmas. So maybe this year I will make it to Busch Gardens also in Williamsburg fo...

Hey Y'all! This month I participated for the first time in the Foodie Pen Pals swap at  The Lean Green Bean , I found the blog as I was blog hopping using that little "next blog" button at the top of a lot of blogs,  one night as I was bored I just kept hitting that little button and when I saw the title of the blog I stopped to check it out, and found...A SWAP!... Y'all know how I love a swap. The way it works is you get a person to send to and a person who will send to you, not the same person that way you get to meet 2 new people :) It has a HUGE following I think I read over 3000!  So whatcha do is email and get to know them a bit, follow whatever diet restrictions they have and fill a box with $15.00 worth of food items suited to your partner. 16 years ago today we stood before our family and friends. Portlock United Methodist Church Was I really that young... wearing mom's earrings and pearls. We said "I Will" I will promise to love you in sickness and in health. I will love you for richer or for poorer I will take you as mine, to love and to honor and to cherish until death we do part. I love you Lee! You are my heart. Happy Anniversary.
