Pink Saturday

Did you know that I LOVE LUCY!
 I love Lucille Ball.

A card I saved and have on one of my paper holders in my craft area.

I shared a small bit of my Lucy collection a while back, and I thought I'd share a bit more today, in honor of her Birthday  today she would have been 100 years old.  I love that red head, she always makes me smile, Lee and I were talking about her and how people really only remember her from the T.V. show, she had a long and varied film career as well. The first movie  I remember seeing her in was Mame, I loved that movie. Puzzling, I do not own it...hmmm I will have to change that. I think she would like the fact that people are still remembering her.
My little lunch box sits on the end table in my living room and holds candy :)

My desk set was a Christmas gift from Lee. This blotter sits on my writing desk.
The pencil cup and mouse pad are on my craft desk, the mouse pad I just use mostly as a coaster and my lamp is on it too.
Even a cute place to toss the trash.
I really am surrounded by Lucy and ya know what I like it that way!
Happy Pink Saturday.

  1. Happy Pink Saturday Jenny Sweetie...
Oh I Love Lucy as well. I so enjoyed watching her shows. The one at the top is my favorite. The candy kept coming faster and faster, she was sticking it everywhere she could. I laughed and laughed on that one.

I also loved the one about the Vitameatavegamin drink she was supposed to be selling. Remember, "It's so tasty too." Loved it.

Your collection is so wonderful Jenny. What a great tribute to a wonderful lady on her 100th birthday. She is SO loved still.

Thank you for the wonderful share sweetie. Hope you have a glorious weekend. Country hugs from Phoenix, Sherry

  6. This was such a fun post! I have really fond memories of watching I Love Lucy with my mom...especially on a sick day, but I too know that she starred in lots of movies. My mom still loves to watch the TCM channel. My favorite movie is the one with the trailer going up into the mountains...

    Thanks for the memories!

  7. I did just hear the other day that Lucy would have been 100 this year...she was one funny woman...just her facial expressions without saying a word. I grew up watching Lucy and still catch an episode (in the wee hours of the morning) every so often. Your collection made me smile...thanks for sharing with us.
    xoxo

I live in Chesapeake, the part close to portsmouth and suffolk. Probably about 30 min from Franklin.

  13. Oh I love her too and was using her picture as my aviator until just recently. I am also decorating my retro kitchen an inspiration from her...for Mother's Day my daughter in law bought me a wonderful Lucy book.

My friend and I call each other Lucy and Ethel.
Oh 100 years old...wow! My mother in law is 96..that puts it into context for me.

    Fun post

  14. I love Lucy too, Jenny. I laugh easily so you can imagine when I watch her shows. It's such good clean humor. Wish they had more comedy like that these days. She is an icon and was a beauty. Love the Lucy and Ethel friendship too.

Thanks for stopping by. Always good to visit with you. Enjoy your weekend. ;)

  15. Lucy was a class act! She was funny and not foul! She was a bright woman and she knew her way around the business. I truly miss her and all she was. I just don't think there are any shows like her show these days. People open up about things on TV. that is really none of our business and I don't like it! I recently watched an episode of King of Queens and Doug was out of work due to the strike. His FIL Arthur and he were sitting on their stoop cracking jokes at passerbys. Arthur yelled out "Nice pantsuit lady, Vivian Vance wants it back!" I laughed so hard because Vivian was such a wonderful foil to Lucy and her madcap adventures! What a delightful pair they were! Filling the 50's, the 60's and the 70's with so much fun! Hugs Anne

  16. My daughter bought me a video set of the Lucy Show when was working for Mr. Mooney in the bank! She came off so wonderfully in each situation! But she and Ricky were my true loves in my younger days!
