Ho Hum

Not much going on here in Virginia today.
How are things with you?
It is muggy and HOT! I am such a winter person! October can't get here fast enough for me, that first morning with a nip in the air is my Cream of Wheat morning :) I can't eat hot cereal in the summer! CRAZY. Lee doesn't understand seasonal eating, he gives me a hard time about it every summer. He wants Beef Stroganoff tonight...ugh....to me that is a stick to your ribs comfy fall/winter food.

I will make it for him, it's easy, and yummy but too much for JULY,  I'd rather have shrimp and salad.
How about you, do you have seasonal favorites?

    Ohh I soooo could go for a glass of sweet tea right now! It's super hot and muggy here on the NJ Shore as well.

    And I totally hear you on the seasonal foods. Beef Stroganoff...totally a fall/winter dish. I'd love some corn on the cob...shrimp or chicken skewers and red skin potato salad! :)

    Seasonal food? Oh yes! Salad, fruits, all yummy for us here in the south! And HOT, after all it is July in Alabama!!

Merry Christmas Y'all. Yes I say Merry Christmas! I keep Christ in  Christmas because it matters to me. I was at a craft show recently and at one of the booth's I wished the vendor a Merry Christmas, he said Thank You and then said "I don't say anything anymore, you never know what people believe and I don't want to offend anyone" OK I get that, he is a businessman....however;  I replied...."I say Merry Christmas because it is what I believe" he said huh... I have never thought of it that way before...
