Catchin' Up....Again

Hey Y'all!
I feel like it has been forever since I sat down here to visit.
I will try to do better.
Grandma Hazel was laid to rest on Saturday, it was a beautiful spring day and it was a lovely celebration of her life.  My dad delivered the most perfect eulogy. The cemetery she is in is the most beautiful peaceful place. It is perfect for her.

Easter was another beautiful day and of course I left my camera at home...yikes!
So I have no photos to share of the beautiful celebration of our Lord's Resurrection.
I am sure I can get some from the family so I'll post those at a later date.
We had a lovely day at my parent's church and then a fun filled afternoon at Beth and Steve's house, we all brought side dishes and Steve grilled chicken, hot dogs, and hamburgers...yummy!
Every thing was so good, my sisters and mom are great cooks and we always have a great spread,
We topped it off with these almost too cute to eat cupcakes that Laura made...ALMOST...LOL
She also made a big sugar cookie that was so cute with tiny marshmallow bits and flowers, but um I ate that already...lol.

I also wanted to share the tags I made for the Tag-A-Month Swap at Tee's
Tee hosts the BEST swaps, you still have time to sign up for May, jump on over and join us!
The tag theme for May is Mother's Day.

OK first up is the quickie Egg shaped ATC  swap, this one went to Ana Christina in Brazil

I kept it almost too simple, but I liked it.
I used some yummy October Afternoon Paper (MY FAVORITE PAPER COMPANY)
and a vintage chick and added loads of bling.
I glittered the egg with some Martha Stewart crystal glitter it doesn't show up as well here, but it is chunky and to me has a vintage feel to it. I then added stickles to the chick.
I started to add some other bits to it, but again the more I added the less I liked it. So simple it was.
I hope she likes it.

NEXT

This little cutie went to Judith in Australia.
Stickles are here again on this sweet little bunny boy.
I had a fun time putting him together for her.
I inked, I glued, I glittered,  I had a blast!
Judith has a great blog!
Just click on her name and it will lead you to her art!
She rocks and I hope she likes him as much as I do :)
She is the first person I have ever sent anything to in Australia,
I love that through a couple of blogs we get to share love and friends all over the globe!

and then to sweet Valery Anne

This adorable girl went to England!
Again, I inked, I stickled and I glued.
When I found out I was partnered with her I was giddy, I am such an ANGLOPHILE! sheesh, I know, I know, she is probably rolling her eyes...lol. But I love so many things about Britain! Now I have a connection there! Sorry in advance Mrs.V!
LOL :)
So that is it for today. I will be back again soon and I hope to see you then,
Have a great day!

  2. Great cupcake and tags. Goodness, you're sending stuff all over the place. Isn't that absolutely neat - world wide - friends. I had pen pals eons ago w/real air mail letters and all. Someone in France and someone in the Mauritian Islands. Blogs certainly make a lot of stuff possible, don't they?
Glad to hear Hazel is at rest in a great place for her. Take care.
