Counting My Blessings Day 3
Today I am blessed, because I have a job.
I work for the worlds largest retailer, you know the one everyone hates, but everyone goes to... the one Sam Walton started.
I am a Customer Service Supervisor, so my job is loads of fun! (insert sarcasm)
I am thankful to God that I am employed. I am glad it is in a place I have made friends and have met many people of great Faith. We talk about Jesus often and I love that I can do that.
Oh don't get me wrong if I could find a job out of retail, I would be gone in a second. But for now, this is where God put me, so this is where I am thankful to be.

And I am sure you are making a huge difference serving exactly where He has led. Sometimes all that someone needs to make a difference in their day is a smile. A smile is so rare these days. Take it with you to that customer service counter. ;)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my cards, got two, woo-hoo!!!! Did you make these? If so, you should sign the backs. They are so pretty, Jenny. You know I'm taking pics. I sat them on my kitchen window sill to see them and smile as I wash my dishes. ;) You've inspired me for my Christmas cards. I hope I don't run out of energy too soon. Thank you so much, my friend.
XOXO
Good Morning Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteA wonderful blessing indeed. We never question where we are, just know that God has us there for a reason. I am sure you are touching many lives every day sweet friend. Your Christianity shines through in your writing.
I too, worked for this retailer when we first moved out here to the Valley. I even had the privledge to shake Sam W. hand when we opened our new store in 1989. A good man, and their stores are a good place to work.
God moved me in 1992 to the job I have today. Almost 20 years now. I can't wait to see where your journey takes you sweet friend. What winding roads we travel on our earthly journies. Have a gorgeous day. Many country hugs and much love, Sherry
Hello again Sweet Jenny,
ReplyDeleteSo I am absolutely loving this wonderful theme- Counting my blessings! I also love the way you wrote this particular post!!!
I think if we all took a little time at the beginning of each day to think of even just one thing that is blessing our lives at the moment, we would all be a lot happier- and a lot less whiney!
Is it ok if me and the pixies copy your idea by adding a daily gratitude to our posts? I think it might be just what we need to help us "De-Funk" ourselves!
Thanks so much for visiting us, and for blessing us with your sunshine!
Sparkly Hugs,
Tobi and the Pixies!
